Mr. Limpet’s Secret Garden
52″x 25″x 2″
A limpet is called Opihi in Hawaiian and I found a few empty ones while I was strolling along on the Southside of the island. Hawaiians eat them raw so sometimes they are tricky to find. There are many varieties and they are all different like snowflakes. This painting could also be called Opihi Man like the popular song.
This was done combining Japanese Rozome (wax) and Serti Silk Painting Techniques.
